Yelle Hunninck

Yelle is educated as an Actuary from KU Leuven and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Information Systems Engineering from the same university. His thesis on Flood risk was awarded the MAFE thesis price by KU Leuven for the best thesis within the fields of accountancy, finance and insurance and was elected as winner of the Johan de Witt price by the Dutch royal actuarial society for the best actuarial thesis in Belgium and the Netherlands. Yelle has been an actuarial trainee in the risk department of KBC where he focused on climate risk and the modeling of flood perils. He has also been a portfolio manager and later the president of Greenhill Capital, a student organization that teaches students of all backgrounds how to manage a large portfolio responsibly and sustainably. In September 2022, Yelle joined Triple A – Risk Finance Belgium. He has assisted on Solvency II reporting projects and has done broad claims, cost and lapse modelling work for a health insurer. He has also extensive experience in the pricing of hospitalization products.
