On 15 July, EIOPA published the final documents relating to the Solvency II changes that will become applicable at the end of January 2027. With this, EIOPA has finalised the intended technical standards and guidelines associated with the amendments to the Solvency II Directive and Delegated Regulation.
This also follows from EIOPA’s previously published planning in accordance with Annex XV of the Single Programming Document 2025–2027.
The overview of all completed new and amended technical standards, the so-called Implementing Technical Standards or ITS and Regulatory Technical Standards or RTS, as well as new and amended guidelines, is as follows.
The overview above reflects the status as of July 2026, with EIOPA itself indicating that it has completed the final documents. However, the process of recalibrating underlying regulation by EIOPA is ongoing. New publications may therefore continue to be relevant in the future. As part of the Solvency II review, EIOPA will continue to develop, review and simplify technical standards and guidelines where necessary, and will continue to monitor their implementation.
In this context, see also the Single Programming Document 2026–2028.
